Delhi is one of the largest cities in the world. In 2007 it was estimated that the city had a population that exceeded seventeen million inhabitants. This dethrones Mumbai as having the largest population in an Indian city. Aside from this, Delhi is also one of the oldest cities having been continually inhabited.
