Bhopal, located in central India, once held the attention of the world in 1984. This is due to the disaster in the city, along with a gas leak that caused almost four thousand confirmed deaths. Due to this, the refuted number of fatalities connected to the event became much higher at fifteen thousand. It’s a sad story of how cost cutting and ignoring safety precautions can quickly make things go from bad to worse. It’s a shame, because the city of Bhopal, home too many lakes both man-made and natural, is a very nice place to visit indeed. In the present though, the city is making great strides when it comes to progress, and the cityscape is changing rapidly, transforming it into one of the best urban areas in the whole country. (more…)
